I have a little too much in your face these days. Especially in the study: Preparation 10 shaking table tests (each 400 kg of sand), a work write about the activities during the semester, a finite element program to write, take 3 exams. And to make some personal decisions.

So, the formal part is over. Now to the interesting part of the blog entry, the umbrella stand:
In Tokyo rains not more frequently than in other places, but the Tokyo not wear raincoats, So are quite a few Umbrellas here. And in an unexpected rain to buy just one degree Schrim on the street corner. It is available for 4 Fr.
Since the space is narrow, are the wet schrim in department stores simply tedious. Three options have been considered the clever Japanese:
first Make the screen easy in a Schrimständer front of the store (as in all other cultures as well). But here schrim all look exactly the same and everyone just takes some of the umbrella stand. Who in the department store is too long, for hats then stop no more left!
second So we combined the umbrella stand with a safe and got the following, inconvenient, bulky product (See picture).
third Now that the Japanese recalled the joyful side of everyday life and created a kind of "umbrella condom", the Flip hood at the entrance of the store on their screen. So they can take into the screen. Everywhere. Without side effects.
